As we enter the New Year, I congratulate all my people upon the successes they have registered in 2019.
I extend my sympathies to the sick, injured and all those have faced various challenges.
The people of Bunyoro should harness the vast fertile land and other natural resources to generate household income.
Natural resources like Mwitanzige should be protected for our people to fish sustainably.
The people must continue to prepare to tap into the Oil Industry being developed and the now more stable Electricity situation.
Land fragmentation by families should stop and instead people should use shares on large family pieces of land.
A mix of food and high value cash crops that require a small footprint should be adopted as the arable land is being depleted due to population growth.
My people must continue to live healthy and responsible lifestyles.
In the New Year, I call upon leaders to mobilise people to embrace development efforts and promote unity, peace and tolerance.
I wish all my people a happy and fruitful New year.
