Rt Hon Andrew Byakutaga yesterday represented Bunyoro at the 4th coronation anniversary celebrations of the Kyabazinga of Busoga His Majesty William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula IV.
The current Kyabazinga was enthroned in September 2014 by His Majesty Dr Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I, the Omukama of Bunyoro Kitara.
During the celebrations that were held yesterday, the Kyabazinga appreciated the support which Busoga receives from Bunyoro.
Among the visiting cultural officials, the Prime Ministers of Bunyoro and Buganda were the only ones who were given an opportunity to address thousands of the people that turned up for the coronation anniversary celebrations.
Rt Hon Andrew Byakutaga appreciated Busoga for extending Bunyoro an invitation to attend the ceremony.
He underscored the importance of unity, teamwork and cooperation between Bunyoro Busoga and other kingdoms.
He advised cultural institutions to prioritize teaching cultural values to young people and initiating projects that improve on the welfare of the people.
Rt Hon Byakutaga was accompanied by Hon Philip Katahoire, the special assistant for external affairs in Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom.
