The Omukama of Bunyoro Kitara Dr Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I last evening hosted hundreds of Christians as he started the Holy week.
A prayer service was held inside Karuziika palace as Christians joined the King in celebrating Palm Sunday.
Rev Can Godfrey Buro, the vicar of St Peter’s cathedral prayed for peace, comfort and stability of the King, his family and all his subjects.
He asked God to bless the people of Bunyoro with the wisdom to develop their region.
The King who was flanked by the Queen Omugo Margret Karunga Adyeeri and other royals asked his people to love, trust and serve God.
In his message, he asked his people to work hard in order to improve on the incomes of their homes.
He asked farmers to utilize the ongoing rains to plant sufficient crops that will enable them get food for their consumption and extra to sell for house hold income enhancement.
The Christians started their procession from Rukurato hall before entering Karuziika palace amidst singing and praising God.
