Royal Tomb of Omukama Kyebambe of Bunyoro renovated

The renovated Royal Tomb of Omukama Kyebambe Nyamutukura III, the 19th Babiito King of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom was officially handed over to the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom by the Kibaale District Heritage Development Project Committee. The renovation of the tomb was supported by the Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda (CCFU) under its “enhancing cultural rights through heritage promotion in Uganda” project.

The Kingdom was represented by Rt. Hon. Joseph Xavier Kiiza, the Deputy Prime Minister who, on behalf of the Kingdom, pledged to preserve the site and maintain the efforts made so far. He committed to ensuring that the caretaker (Mugema) of the Site is supported to manage the site effectively.
