Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom Hosts Kitara Students Association National Leadership

In a significant display of support for the youth, the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom hosted a delegation of national leaders of Bunyoro-Kitara Students Association (KISA Uganda) at the Kingdom’s Boardroom yesterday, January 2, 2025.

The KISA UG delegation led by National President-elect Mr. Tumusabe Richard and association patron Mr. Muheesi Peter, was warmly received by the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom Prime Minister, Owek. Andrew Byakutaga Ateenyi.

The Prime Minister commended the students for promoting culture in various higher institutions of learning and thanked Mr. Muheesi Peter for his guidance and support to the association.

During the meeting, the Premier emphasized the importance of community service, encouraging KISA students to utilize their holidays to make a positive impact in schools and communities across Bunyoro.

He proposed a leadership conference to restructure the association, set a new agenda, and establish a national budget and work plan.

The main objective of KISA, according to Owek. Byakutaga, is to nurture tomorrow’s leaders and culturally prepare the youth.

Mr. Peter Muheesi, the KISA Uganda patron, expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for his support and pledged to work closely with the students’ administration to address the challenges facing the association.

The KISA Uganda President-elect Mr. Tumusabe Richard, thanked the Prime Minister for the warm welcome and guidance, committing to set a new agenda for the association’s continued growth and independence.

He invited the Premier and the Kingdom’s administration to attend the planned handover party for KISA, scheduled for early February 2025.

In attendance was the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom Communications Officer Mr. Kyomugisa Frankline, BKK Tourism and Production Officer Mr. Atuha Moses, BKK Legal Officer Mr. Denis Kiiza.
