The officials paid a courtesy call to the Premier and presented various issues that require interventions from the Kingdom.
In a petition presented by Hon. Iddi Magezi, a secretary for Production and Marketing at Hoima City, the officials requested the kingdom to scale up advocacy for the people of Bunyoro to benefit from oil and hosting refugees.
The officials requested the kingdom to advocate for more people from Bunyoro to be appointed in central government positions and protect those already holding positions.
The petition requested the Kingdom to work with Hoima City authorities and Sugar companies in putting safeguards against accidents that are being caused by sugar cane trucks in Hoima town.
They also requested the Kingdom to launch a fresh campaign to request the President to operationalize the Bunyoro public University.
The Prime Minister Owek. Andrew Byakutaga Ateenyi welcomed their proposals and promised a comprehensive response to all the issues they raised.
He said most of the issues they raised are already being worked on by the Kingdom but promised more follow-up to address pending issues.
He said the Kingdom prioritizes engagements with various stakeholders and interests them to partner with the Kingdom in addressing issues affecting Kabumba’s subjects.
