On Friday, the Prime Minister of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom Rt Hon Andrew Byakutaga visited UTC Kyema to officiate on the Freshers Ball.

Of the total enrolment, only 30% are Banyoro.

These are not impressive statistics,he observed.

This college provides practical knowledge to students to be able to get jobs but also create self employment in a country where jobs are scarce.

Let us get out of our comfort zones and mobilize our children and parents to take advantage of such facilities as we identify other causes of this miserable enrolment of our children in this college and other local Institutions of higher learning, he said.

343 vacancies can be filled by our children and will go a long way in transforming our Kingdom.

This week the Rt Hon Prime Minister will attend graduation ceremonies at Kitara Institute and Hoima Nursing College.

I will utilise such opportunities to to identify gaps and propose solutions to change our people’s midsets to benefit from such opportunities, he said.

He has urged all the people of Bunyoro to join and support BKK to make a difference.

BKK will continue it’s transformation process inspite of numerous challenges and in the meantime ensuring that we take advantage of the low hanging fruits, Rt Hon Byakutaga said.
