BKK statement on Kabalega rally – 6th September, 2018
The Prime Minister of Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom Rt Hon Andrew Byakutaga will tomorrow flag off the third edition of the Kabalega rally.
The function will be at Miika Eco resort hotel in Hoima town.
This afternoon, the premier interfaced with the organisers of the rally and drivers who paid a courtesy call on him at his office.
The organisers came along with ancient rally cars that have been mantained.
The vintage cars were driven from Kontik hotel, through Hoima town up to Karuziika Royal Palace.
The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of sports unity, discipline and team work in social life.
He advised the drivers and the general public to ensure safety as they enjoy the rally.
He welcomed visitors who have traveled to enjoy the rally to spare time to visit the various cultural and touristic sites in Bunyoro.
The organisers estimate over 2 billion shillings to be spent by the rally fans in Bunyoro region. See UMOSPOC President’s statement about the rally.
After flagging off the rally tomorrow evening, the Prime Minister will be the guest of honour at a function to select and crown the Miss tourism for Bunyoro region.
The winner will be a champion of marketing Bunyoro’s tourism potential.
The function will also be held at Miika Eco Resort hotel.
